Good And Bad Effect Of Online Chatting And Online Connect!

 Internet users have many options to chat with people from around the world online. They can opt for text messaging, voice chatting, and video chatting. Chatting is an exciting way to connect with the online world. Internet users can exchange information with each other by chatting online.It has advantages as well as disadvantages which are discussed below:

Advantages of Chatting
1. Connect with Anyone: Chatting allows users on the internet to meet and connect with new people online. Internet users can write, share, and talk about anything to people who get connected with them.
2. Have Fun: Many people get bored in homes by doing same old things everyday, and they want to come out of boredom; therefore, they do chatting for fun.
3. Inexpensive Mean of Communication: Internet chatting is an inexpensive and useful option to communicate with friends or family members. Therefore, it helps people who live far away from their friends and families.
4. Protect Identities: Internet users can choose a nickname to chat with people online if they want to hide their true names from people on the internet.
5. Boosts Confidence: There are people in our world who find it very difficult to talk with people face to face. Chatting provides useful resources to such people to help them communicate and build confidence.

Disadvantages of Chatting

1. Hidden Identities: An internet user can chat with another person online with a fake identity either for pleasure or for hiding his true self. This drawback applies to a text and voice chat.
2. Birth of Slang Words: People who chat online like to respond quickly to a participant or participants; therefore, abbreviate their messages and invent slang terminologies. For example, LOL (Laugh Out Loud). Birth of slang words is not a good sign for Linguistics since slang terms have no respect for a language.
3. Communication Gap: Emotions of people can be felt with a tone of voice (voice chat) and face (video chat), but a person online cannot detect emotions of an internet user who post text messages. Text chatting creates a communication gap between people who communicate with each other. Therefore, people should be extra careful while sending text messages.
4. Sharing of Information is Hazardous: There are people on the internet who hide truth about them. They can use personal information about someone for a wrongdoing. Therefore, people who chat online should never share their personal information including their cell phone number, address, and photos with anyone on the internet. However, if a person online agrees to meet someone in person, he should inform his relatives before meeting that person.
5. People Go Offline Without Warning: People can go offline while chatting online without warning.

Reasons for the Current Teacher Shortage

America has a teacher shortage problem, and there's plenty of blame to go around, especially since the Obama administration took over and the federal government doubled-down on its education policies. Just think how things stand right now with such glaring issues as tight budgets, relentless standardized testing, performance-based teacher evaluations, hastily designed and implemented Common Core Standards, exploding poverty numbers, turn-around school mandates, charter school growth, and tenure in the short hairs, right there along with teachers' pay.
Even current Secretary of Education John B. King waxed somewhat apologetically by suggesting that, "Despite the best of intentions, teachers and principals have felt attacked and unfairly blamed for challenges our nation faces as we strive to improve outcomes for all students."
Indeed...
Stockton University's dean of education put it more bluntly by contending that it's the result of "terribly horrible, negative rhetoric we're hearing from public officials."
Similarly, Lawrence Mishel, president of the Economic Policy Institute, recently declared that, along with everything else that's going against them, "Teachers have also been subjected to demonization."
The result: A MetLife survey finds that teacher satisfaction is at its lowest level in 25 years, which comes as no surprise to Dulce-Marie Flecha who is quitting after five years in the classroom.
When asked why, she said, "I'm trying to think of a good summarizing reason, but, honestly, there are more reasons to leave than there are to stay in education right now. At a certain point, you kind of have to pay for your own sanity, you know?" She then added, "There's this sort of unsaid expectation that teachers should be happy to give up so much time and money out of love for children... I don't think anybody told me I was going to cry under my desk."
And so it goes...
Another effect is that fewer college students are opting for careers in education. In fact, according to the National Center for Education Statistics, their numbers slipped from 106,300 in 2004 to just 98,900 in 2014.
In Pennsylvania alone, Philadelphia Inquirer's Kathy Boccella reports that in 2009 the commonwealth's fourteen universities boasted 18,287 undergraduates majoring in education; by 2015, however, that figure stood at a mere 11,583. Moreover, while they awarded 18,590 teaching certificates in 2013; in 2015, only 7,180 were handed out-a 61% decrease!
As Temple University's Gregory Anderson, dean of the College of Education, points out, "If I'm an undergraduate student, teaching as a profession is not necessarily one shining with possibilities."
Piling on, there's also the sticky issue of salaries, albeit a secondary one in light of concerning working conditions, lack of administrative support, too little policy input, and loosening discipline policies.
As the Economic Policy Institute has udiscovered, the gap between U.S. teachers' pay and other professionals is "greater than ever." In fact, for all public school teachers--irrespective of age, gender, or experience--the relative wage gap hit a record 17% last year, with teachers in just five states coming within 10% of what other college grads earn.
That's because, according to a 2014 Bureau of Labor Statistics analysis, median pay for high school teachers came in at just $53,515, while their elementary colleagues made $54,120. Contrast those figures with the median salaries of such professionals as:

  • Pharmacists: $116,500
  • Human Resources Manager: $$111,200
  • Mathematician: $103.3
  • Political Scientist: $100.9
  • Art Director: $96,700
  • Civil Engineer: $85,600
  • Real Estate Broker: $82,400
  • Physical Therapist:$82.2
  • Computer Programmer: $80,900
  • Sociologist: $78,100
  • Accountants & Auditors: $72,500:
Consequently, a number of states are resorting to rather desperate measures to attract and/or hold on to teachers. For instance, in light of Utah's low teacher pay, the state board of education recently removed all requirements for new hires other than a college degree and a passing subject matter test score. That's it.
Then there are states like Virginia which is offering bonuses ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to lure new teachers. At the same time, California now says that teachers holding certification with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards can receive a $20,000 bonus if they'll agree to work in a high priority (meaning hard to staff) school for four years.

Keeping Fit

Being physically fit is a goal that we want - or that we should want! Being fit helps us to live longer, have more energy and just live healthier. The secret to getting and staying fit is to find an exercise that you enjoy. For many people - it's working out in a pool. Exercising in a pool especially helps those that have joint problems. The water helps with the impact on your muscles and joints. If you don't think that there is an indoor pool in your area - check around. There may be one that's open to the public at a Community College, etc.
Here are three ways that you can get fit by having fun and going to the pool.
1. One of the best exercises that you can do is simply swimming. It burns a lot of calories - and most everyone likes to go for a swim. If you do decide that you want swim as an exercise choice - make sure that you find a pool that has a special area for those swimming laps. And, many pools have specific times set up for adults only. Trying to swim for fitness while trying to dodge those playing can drive you a little crazy!
2. Water aerobics is a super way to use the pool to stay fit. Many local YMCA's or fitness centers have instructors. Many places have different levels of difficulty. Make sure that you start out in the beginner's class - especially if you are just started to work on your fitness. Don't try to do too much too soon. Water aerobics is a fun way to exercise and get in shape. Don't worry if you find it hard at first - it's a good workout!
3. Walking/Running in the pool is something that many do to stay in shape - while others do it while they are recovering from an injury. Many think that running and walking in a pool is better than doing it outside on the roads. You don't have the impact on your knees/joints in the pool that you have otherwise. Also, the water adds resistance that will make you work harder and get a great workout.
Remember the pool doesn't have to just be for summer and vacation fun. If you've been wanting to get back to exercising - head to the pool! It's a great way to get in shape, stay in shape and have fun doing it.
Getting in shape and staying in shape is a goal that everyone should have - no matter how busy they are. It's that important!

How to Stay Motivated

Not all bodies are made equal (metabolism wise)
First and foremost, you need to understand that each body is unique with its own fat burning speed. We all probably have that one friend who just started eating well and working out, and are already a size down... Good for them, but a really BAD reference point for you! Not every body functions this way and actually very few of them do. What is more, you can't eat all sorts of junk food for 5 years and expect to revert the process in 5 days,it's just not how it works. So how do we overcome this feeling of disappointment? Simple... the only fitness competition you have is yourself! That gorgeous girl in the gym corner with the Brazilian booty or that huge guy with the six pack may well have been there for years and years, so forget about them and focus on the most important person in the world - yourself!
Progress really is made in a couple of weeks. You're just looking at the wrong places
So if you've started working out 2 weeks ago and feel like you haven't made any progress, I'm here to tell you; you absolutely have, you just don't know it YET! Obviously the visibility of your results is the most powerful motivation, but certainly not the first to come. So here's a couple of tips on other ways to track progress and stay motivated: Did you know that our weight actually changes throughout the day depending on your food and water intake? Yes, you can't expect to drink 2 litres of water or eat a massive bowl of veggies and not see it reflected on the scales. Our real body weight is actually best captured when we get up in the morning on an empty stomach, after going to the toilet. So if you do love your scales, weigh yourself then. But still I'd suggest getting a measuring tape, especially with these electronic scales' inaccuracy.
This is probably the best way to go about your progress. As we said not all bodies will show visible results as quickly as we wish, however, they are actually changing below the surface. Every single workout gets you one step closer to your goal and you should start capturing that. When I was just starting out this seriously brought me down. Even if you do have visible results, if you look at yourself every day you wouldn't notice them. The wiser thing to do is take pictures once a month and compare on a month-to-month basis, not daily.If you're too eager, though, you can always do a fit test instead and remember, every rep counts as progress!
